In this section the focus is on preparing for the skills demonstration. The learner is asked to work with a partner and to explore and engage in, simulated, activities that are central to the daily tasks carried out by an SNA.
This exercise offers perspective to the learner and helps to build on the learners ability to empathise. By engaging in the exercises, as both a client and an SNA, it gives the learner the opportunity to view their role from the perspective of the client and this can affect and improve future practice.
This is the preparation phase for skills demonstration, it gives the Learner time and space to use creativity while also providing scaffolding for the Learner to build their skills demonstration around.
